Notice from the Superintendent

As the country recovers from the February 14, 2018, mass shooting, which occurred at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, there has been an alarming increase in threats towards our nation's schools. In particular, there have been threats to public safety made at many neighboring Navajo Nation school districts. I want to take this opportunity to inform you of the precautions and action steps GUSD is taking to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, staff, faculty, administration, and community members. We encourage you to learn more by reading the superintendent’s recent letter to the community.

Mesh Bag Requirement

Questions have arisen regarding the expectations for Ganado High School students to transport their belongings and educational materials to and from school in a mesh or clear bag. This expectation is clearly written on page 21 of the 2017-2018 handbook. We ask that you take a moment to review the details and expectations in this letter to parents and guardians. We appreciate your continued support!
